Blooming

I love Spring. Big, beautiful fragrant flowers are blooming in every direction — it's impossible to not cut them and bring them indoors to inhale them for every minute of the day. Especially peonies. We cut some from my garden for a shoot recently.  [ new studio work for my petal & leaf series ]

BeST Purchase: Boronia

It's obvious that I'm a gardener the way I post more photos than necessary of my garden. (Did you notice that I've been trying to control myself lately?) I can't help it though, I love flowers. For a couple weeks in Spring I buy Boronia — one of my favorites. This little pink flower grows in Australia and it's only available here in the US for a short while. I know it's a very long journey to my living room but there are a couple flowers I just can't resist. Boronia is one of them.

Casting for... ATTITUDE

I need a teenager—attitude and all—for a quick lacrosse shoot. Anyone want to offer up their teenage daughter for an hour? I'm sorry, but no, I will not take her for a week.

My hair. Her doll.

At the playground this weekend, my two year old son found a six year old girl friend. I was happy—instant babysitter! She followed him all over the playground and I followed her. She told me that her doll had the same haircut as me, so of course, I asked to see this doll. And she was right. I did have the same haircut as her doll. Then she told me that she gave the doll the haircut.
    
So, really what I'm thinking is — I'm paying how much money for a haircut on Newbury Street that I can get from a six year old?!!

These young women were beyond amazing! I hope to never be their opposition. More to come later this week.
