Editing.
I made a chunk of videos in my years as an Art Director. Brand essence videos for clients. New business videos for pitches. And so on. In all those years I did not edit the video. I concepted, I directed, I tweaked... but I was never the one editing the lengths of flippin footage. Until now. And not until now did I truly understand and now appreciate what goes into editing. It's a lot of long, tedious work — multiplied by days. It's insanity. I will not edit another of my videos. Ever. I'm saying it here. I mean really, how many different angles of worms in a bucket did I really need to capture?!
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend everyone. I'll be editing.

Feels like Summer out there. I'm shooting on and in the ocean today south of Boston. Don't feel bad for me.
Enjoy the day!

Mother's Day photo shoot
Man have I been slacking off on the blog posts! I've been working a lot lately. More to come on that later. But today is May 1st and on that day every year I start taking names for my Two Birds Mother's Day shoot where one single mother has a chance to receive a professional photoshoot with me. Please email me your name if you're interested. I will pull one name from a hat on Mother's Day. It's simple. Very much the opposite of your life if you're a single mom! Follow this link for more information.
Happy Spring!
• This gift is for single mothers only.
• One entry per family please.
• Submit your name via email to kimATkimlowe.com or by posting your name as a comment here. Submissions will not be accepted after May 11, 2013, 11:59PM.
• All submitted names will be placed in a hat and one name will be pulled on Mother's Day. You will be contacted by May 13, 2012 if you've won. If you don't hear from me then please try again next year. This will be an annual Mother's Day gift.
• The winner will receive jpegs from a one hour photo shoot.
• Any single mother is welcome to participate but you will need to get into Boston for the shoot. We will decide on a specific location after the winning name has been pulled.
• Previous recipients can reenter after three years.

Earth Day
HAPPY EARTH DAY!
I hope you stand outside and let Mother Nature seep into every crevice of your body and brain today. Especially if you're here in my hometown of Boston after the horrific events of last week.

Looking down.
As I reorganized and reevaluated all my new photography for my website recently, I noticed that this "always looking up" kind of girl takes a lot of pictures looking down. So I can't believe this, but I'm suggesting to all of you... take time to look down. For the full series follow this link.
